Before we move forward with mastering your music, please make sure your pre-master files meet the following technical requirements. This ensures the best possible final sound and helps us work efficiently.

✅ Pre-Master Specs:

• Format: 24-bit WAV
• Sample Rate: 44.1kHz
• Master Channel: No plugins (e.g. limiter, compressor, EQ)
• Headroom: Around 6dB peak, give or take 1dB
• No Normalize or Dither applied during bounce

🎧 Versions Required:

For each track, please provide two versions:

• Full version (Extended Mix): for download platforms
• Short version (Original Mix): for streaming platforms
  • Length should be between 2:40 and 3:40 preferably, but can be up to 5:40 if it’s necessary for the artistic expression
  • This version is just as important as the extended one, since it will appear on Spotify, Apple Music, and other major streaming platforms where the biggest audiences are.

One of the main reasons tracks fail to reach playlists is poor editing. Even strong productions often get rejected because the edit does not fit the listening flow expected by Spotify’s editorial team. A good edit can make the difference between a track being skipped or streamed thousands of times.

To help every release perform at its best, we are introducing clear technical guidelines for all future edits.

New Edit Standards:

• Average length around 3.5 minutes

• 4-beat intro, followed by an immediate hook or vocal

• Each edit should be treated as a main version, not just a shorter cut

These standards are based on Spotify’s editorial expectations and listener behavior patterns. Edits that follow this format perform significantly better across algorithmic and editorial playlists.
